The Slave Owner In You ( and Me)

When it comes to people in our lives, we all have the attitude of a slave owner.

All of us.

No exceptions.

even the most enlightened, saintly and selfless human being falls in this trap.

Here is how:

The moment you start having any expectations of someone in your life, you are in essence trying to get them to behave the way you want them to.

You become controlling with the slave owner mentality.

You get stuck in the 'Do this, or else' mentality.

Do this because
-you love me
-I love you
-I am your kid
-I am your parent
-I am someone you should listen to ( authority figure)
-you should feel sorry for me
-you should be scared of me
-you should feel responsible for me
and the list goes on for ever

You consciously or subconsciously try to get them to be, do and behave the way you want them to.

Your expectations create a prison you try to keep them in.

Safely contained. Unchanged. Yours. Your slaves

Because you feel safer that way.

If they behave in a way you like, you try to keep them like this
If they dont behave in a way you want them to, you try to manipulate them into changing their behavior to match your expectations of them.

Sad and pathetic, right?

We all do it.

Especially with those we claim we love the most

Which is no love at all, but only a prison that uses the name of love to keep your 'slaves' from getting away, to keep them docile and willing to bend to your wishes.

Stop it. Right now.
Release all and any expectations

Let go of any expectations of anyone.

If they are the way you want them to, mentally give them the freedom to change in any way they like, even in ways you might not like.

Let them change. Evolve. Expand,  be themselves in many, many different ways

If they are not the way you want them to be, accept that this is their path. Honor it and either accept it or move on to ther people who are more compatible with your energy.

No expectations.

Just acceptance

The Way God Loves us.

( if you believe in a God who expects people to behave a certain, acceptable or right way, I feel sorry for you, and your God)

Βe You. Whoever you are in my life.

Do and be anything you want.

I still love you regardless
